Practical activities in commemoration of War-invalids and Martyrs’ Day

* Secretary of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Hung in the morning of July 24 led leadership delegation from departments, agencies and units to pay visits and offer gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs in Phan Thiet city.

At visited sites, Secretary Nguyen Manh Hung warmly extended his best wishes to policy beneficiary  families. At the same time, he expressed deep gratitute to heroic martyrs for their great sacrifice for national revolutionary cause. Mr. Hung hoped that national contributors would continue promoting revolutionary spirit to encourage their descendants to contribute to the development of the homeland.

* On the same day, Mr. Huynh Thanh Canh-Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum head of Binh Thuan’s National Assembly Deputies, and Mr. Duong Van An-deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to war invalids and martyrs’ families in Tuy Phong and Duc Linh districts.

* In the evening of July 24, a candle lighting ceremony was solemnly organized at the provincial cemetery (Hong Son commune-Ham Thuan Bac district) to mark 71 years of War-invalids and Martyrs Day. The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van An, vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa, leaders of departments, agencies, representatives of People’s Armed Forces, war veterans, youth union members and students.As many as 9,000candles were lit in honored of deceased heroes. At the ceremony, gifts were presented to families of Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids and policy beneficiary in the province.

* In the morning of July 26, a delegation of leaders of the provincial Party Committee, people’’s Council, People’s Committee, committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front solemnly held ceremonies at the provincial Cemetery and Ho Chi Minh Museum-Binh Thuan branch to pay tribute to war martyrs and President Ho Chi Minh on the 71st anniversary of War-Invalids and Martyrs’Day (July 27).

The delegation laid wreaths and offered incenses at the martyrs’ stombs to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedoom. Flowers and incenses were also laid at Ho Chi Minh museum –Binh Thuan branch to pay respect  to President Ho Chi Minh.
