BTO – Fishermen on Phu Quy island has started getting to the open sea after several days since the sea traffic ban was imposed. At the Phu Quy port, the atmosphere is seen boisterous with a lot of preparation work for a long-day fishing trip.

According to experienced fishermen, there will be at least two storms triggering from now to the end of the year. Therefore, the local fishers rush out for the sea right after the storm Damrey passed away in hope of bringing back a bumper fishing harvest.

As known, the whole district of Phu Quy has 1,412 fishing boats with 7,003 workers. Although the storm Damrey did not influence directly Phu Quy island, the local Government and residents have made good preparation to brace for the typhoon.
