Phan Thiet’s new-recruits join festive camp before enlisting to the army

BTO - 200 elite citizens of Phan Thiet city on February 23 were eager to participate in a youth camp entitled “Proud of the heroic city’s youth” with many meaningful activities particularly held for them at Nguyen Tat Thanh square on February 23 before they officially take mission in the army units to protect the Nation’s Peace.

First of all, new-recruits and a delegation of the city’s leadership as well as local youth offered incense to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Museum-Binh Thuan branch and visited Phan Thiet city martyrs’ temple.

In a jubilant atmosphere of enlistment festive day, Phan Thiet’s rookies enthusiastically participated in various team-building games, folk games, arts exchanges, traditional under-fire activities, contest on designing camp gates… The event was also a chance for would-be soldiers to meet and exchange with local leaders, officers working in the army so that they can feel confident to take responsibility for protecting their homeland.

According to Lieutenant-colonel Tran Van Anh-Deputy Commander of Phan Thiet city’ Military Command, 100 percent of selected youths get ready for joining the army thanks to good preparation for the work of selecting youth and enlistment call. Rookie Nguyen Minh Vuong Quan (born in 1991), a graduate of Hong Bang University, shared that: “My parents directly involved in anti-American resistance war, and my older brother has just finished military service. I have voluntarily  enlisted to the Vietnam People’ Army to contribute my effort to building and defending our country”. Another voluntary recruit - Mai Xuan Thuy (borned in 1993) graduated from Binh Thuan Community College. He decided to join Vietnam People’ Navy to devote his youth and experience hardship himself. They deserve the youth of Ho Chi Minh’s generations who take their enthusiasm to accomplish all allocated missions.
