Offering free eye checks-up, surgeries to 800 poor people  in Phan Thiet and Ham Thuan Bac

BTO-The provincial Association for the handicapped and orphans lately partnered with ophthalmologists from Nguyen Trai Hospital to offer free eye checks-up to about 800 poor patients in Phan Thiet city and Ham Thuan Bac district.

In which, 200 patients got cataract surgeries and apterygial surgeries.

Earlier, a same charity program was held in Ham Thuan Nam district for 500 poor patients, with 150 patients underwent free operations at Ham Thuan Nam district’s medical center. The total cost for this program  was funded by enterprises and other donors. This is one of meaningful activities with the aim to bring light to the elderly.
