New Zealand won advisor bidder on Phan Thiet – Dau Giay expressway

BTO – Three contractors from Singapore, India and New Zealand took part in bids for technical counselor and support for Phan Thiet – Dau Giay expressway section.

As a result, the management board of Thang Long project on August 8th announced the result of selection for counselor. In which, New Zealand’s Castalia Limited contractor, won bidder with the winning bid price of VND 14.442 billion, a bid package price of VND 21 billion. The contract’s duration is 16 months.

Two other participating bidders are Ernst & Young Solutions LLP (Singapore) and PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited (India). The winning bidder was selected for giving advice on international transaction and technical support for the North-South Expressway’s Dau Giay-Phan Thiet section under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) form.

The project aims to build expressway section of Phan Thiet – Dau Giay with a total investment of over VND 14,356 billion in the first phase in the form of PPP form and BOT contract type. Of the total, nearly VND 2,480 billion is sourced from State budget within a constructional duration of 36 months. The starting point of the section is positioned on the route from National Highway 1A to My Thanh commune, Ham Thuan Nam district (about 2.6km from the National Highway 1A); and the end point is located at the intersection between HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway section in Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province. The total length of the route is about 99km.

According to the project investor, the 2019’s total investment needed for the preparation work of the project is estimated at VND 1,135 billion. Of these, site clearance expenditure accounts for VND 800 billion (VND 330 billion for site clearance in Binh Thuan province and VND 470billion for site clearance in Dong Nai province); the remaining capital is earmarked for backup, consultation and disarm expenditure.
