Nearly 500 Covid-19-affected labourers in Bac Binh get financial support

BTO- Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa lately signed a decision on giving support to 415 labourers who work without labour contracts and have lost their jobs due to Covid-19 pandemic in 5 localities of Bac Binh district.

Specifically, 262 laborers in Phan Ri Thanh commune, 140 laborers in cho Lau townlet, 8 laborers in Hoa Thang commune, 3 laborers in Binh An commune and 2 laborers in Hai ninh commune were granted a total cash of  VND 410 million (VND 1 million/person). This assistant program is under the Government’s Decision No.15/2020/QĐ-TTg on implementing policies to support people facing difficulties due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic. Accordingly, beneficiaries include residents who have lost their jobs within a period  April 1-June 30 with regular income less than near-poverty level stipulated in Decision No.59 of  Prime Minister. Hence, beneficiaries include people who do non-agricultural jobs, such as: street vendors, individual traders, garbage collector, person who upload and load goods, motorbike taxi drivers, cyclo-drivers, lottery ticket vendors; people do their own small businesses specializing in food and drinks industry, tourist accommodations, health care sectors…

Earlier, vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hoa also approved a list of 83 unemployed people who are not eligible for unemployment allowances in Bac Binh district to enjoy Government’s support package.
