An expressed his great pleasure that the outpost island has gained encouraging achievements and requested the executive committees of the Party hierarchies, authorities, organizations of Phu Quy district to celebrate festive events such as: fireworks display, culture and arts programme, sporting activities, boat racing festival, bringing local residents a safe and joyful Tet holiday. He also asked the local people’s armed forces to well carry out their duties, ensure security and social order during Tet days.
The provincial leader visited the national sovereignty flag pole, extended Tet wishes to officers and soldiers of Border Guard Station of Phu Quy port. He also met with some small traders and households in the locality, as well as made an inspection trip to the stone embankment system built for soil erosion on Phu Quy island. In the evening of the previous day, the delegation had joined a cultural and art exchange with soldiers of Ministry of Defence’s military units stationing on Phu Quy island.
