Hundreds of youth clean up Mui Ne beach

BTO-People’s Committee of Mui Ne ward on Sunday (September 29) launched a campaign among local youth to clean up the Bai Truong (front beach) and Bai Sau (Back Beach) of Mui Ne tourist area.

About 150 people, including cadres, soldiers of local Border Guard, and students of Bui Thi Xuan high school actively joined this event. They collected many types of garbage, especially plastic waste, along the coast. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Loan-vice chairman of Mui Ne People’s Committee, fishing boats often unload seafood at those areas, so plastic bags are always found on the beach. Cleaning up the beaches is a practical activity to clear all rubbish from the coastline and call upon local residents to keep the beaches clean by not using plastic bags.
