First 100 tons of Binh Thuan dragon fruit went to Thai Big C supermarkets

BTO – Binh Thuan-based Cao Thanh Phat Import-Export company has recently signed contract with Thai TCC Group to export the first 100 tons of Vietnam’s dragon fruit to Thailand for sale in chain of Big C supermarkets.

This is the first fruit shipment of Vietnam that is distributed inside the supermarket system by TCC Group. “To ensure the quality of agricultural exports, we will co-operate with farmers to grow the fruit under the VietGAP and Global GAP standards and package the fruit at the American-standard packaging factory. Besides, the company has a Quality Control department, which frequently checks the quality of the fruit on the growing spot and at the company for the best quality of exports”, said CEO of Cao Thanh Phat compnay Nguyen Cong Kinh.

Reportedly, TCC is boosting plan to detect more Vietnam’s advantageous agricultural products (sweet potatoes, star apple, avocado, lemon…) and take them to Thailand, not only a monthly order of 100 tons of dragon fruit.
