The event, which attended by Mr. Duong Van An-deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Luong Van Hai-vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, representive leaders of departments/branches/agencies, as well as journalists from Press agencies working in Binh Thuan province. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hong Van-Chairman of Binh Thuan Jouralists’ Association reviewed the history over 95 years of founding and development of Vietnam revolutionary press in general and press agencies in Binh Thuan in particular. Over the past years, along with other state-run press agencies nationwide, Binh Thuan Newspaper has always been a vanguard force in the dissemitation of the Pary’s guidances, the State’s policies and laws, making considerable contributions to the propaganda of achievements in economics, culture, society, national construction and defence, as well as anti-corruption movement in the locality. Local jouralists have gained many local and central press awards. Vice Chairman Luong Van Hai, on behalf of the province’s leaders, extended congratulations to journalists in Binh Thuan, affirming that local journalsts have well performed their tasks in proving readers all-sided information about all aspects of social life; honoring exemplary individuals; reflecting thoughts and aspirations of people from all strata of society; criticizing and fifgting against wrongdonings to make the society more civilized. Mr. Hai also asked press agencies in Binh Thuan to keep on promoting their roles in disseminating information about socioeconomic development of the locality, introducing potentials andadvatges of Binh Thuan province.
