BTO - The provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) branch in collaboration with Department of Education and Training held a ceremony on May 14 to mark the 75th anniversary of  the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (May 15, 1941- May 15, 2016), and honor typical persons, units in the campaign “For beloved young generation”.

Deputy secretary of the provincial HCYU Le Thi Bich Lien reviewed the glorious history of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HYPO)  during its 75 years of foundation and development as well as Vietnamese children’s fine traditions. Under the tutelage of the Youth Union and the whole society’s care,  the HYPO organization of Binh Thuan province has grown and matured, deserving the reserve force for the HCYU.

Currently, Binh Thuan has totally 406 detachments with 4,102 small units and 110,000 members. The organizations at all levels have carried out practical and effective movements with strong pervasiveness, such as:“Vietnamese children emulate each other at well, following President Ho Chi Minh’s five teachings for children”, “A thousand good deeds”, “Presenting silk blouse to grandmother”, “Tran Quoc Toan”…

In 2014-2015 school year, HYPO’s organizations across the province have finished 3,451 works and made great contribution to the “Small plan” programme to build the leisure center for children in Truong Sa island district. During the past time, the campaign “For beloved young generation” has well performed and thereby, contributed to useful projects, programmes in support of disadvantaged children. 

On that occasion, 75 HYPO’s members were honored for their excellent academic results, good conduct and active participation in movements launched by their schools and  HYPO’s organizations. At the same time, 10 cadres in charge of HYPO work, who have significantly contributed to the campaign “For beloved young generation”, given support and sponsorship to children in need of help, had the honor to receive certificates of merit. The provincial Council for HYPO  also presented  a compassion house under the humanitarian programme “The red scarf  houses” to HYPO’s member with difficult circumstances.

Addressing the ceremony, vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam praised and congratulated 75 typical HYPO members and 10 cadres, who have worked hard and considerably contributed to the HYPO’s work and children’s movements, making important contribution to educating, cultivating and promoting the role of teenagers and children. He encouraged local children to continue learning, self improving and overcoming difficulties; love, share and help each other together make progress in study; well perform “President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings for children”; do more and more good deeds. He hoped that all children would be obedient, good leaners and grateful to parents, grandparents, as well as  active members in HYPO’s movements, contributing to building strong organization of young pioneer and protecting the homeland.
