Binh Thuan Tourism Sector honors outstanding travel enterprises and entrepreneurs 2017

The Ceremony was also attended by leaders of Binh Thuan province, including Secretary of the provincial Party committee Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Provincial People’s committee Nguyen Ngoc Hai, Deputy Secretary of the provincial party committee Duong Van An, Vice Chairman of the provincial people’s committee Nguyen Duc Hoa as well as leaders of other departments and bodies.

Over the past 22 years (2015-2017), Binh Thuan Tourism has grown and become an attractive destination among domestic and international tourists. The total eclipse event on October 24^th, 1995 is the milestone of Binh Thuan Tourism since domestic and foreign tourists were aware of  Mui Ne – Phan Thiet – Binh Thuan, reported by Vice chairman Nguyen Duc Hoa at the ceremony.

According to the report, the local tourism has gradually confirmed its firm brand name despite many challenges and difficulties at the initial stage. To date, the province has approved 390 effective tourism projects. The 2016’s tourism revenues was recorded a surge of 295 times in comparison with that of 1995. Local tourism’s yearly GDP obtained 19.08 percent a year, and the 2017’s revenue is expected to hit VND 11 trillion. Thanks to the development of Tourism, the exports and consumption of other commodities (agro-forestry and fisheries, etc.), have been boosted, contributing greatly to the socioeconomic development.

The ceremony has picked up and honored 20 organizations and 17 individuals in areas of Media. Besides, the local tourism sectors has granted certificates of merit to 12 individuals and 15 collectives who have best contribution to the local tourism.
