Binh Thuan to set up community-based Covid-19 prevention teams in residential areas

BTO- The provincial Department of Health on May 11 issued guidance on the establishment of community-based Covid-19 prevention teams in residential areas under the management of people’s committees of communes/wards/townlets in Binh Thuan.

Accordingly, each team, with 2-3 members who are officers in hamlets/quarters and volunteers in residential areas, undertakes to monitor 30-50 households. Every day, they visit every house to check everyone and remind them about preventive measures against Covid-19, inspects risks and timely detect any suspected cases to report to medical agencies for surveillance or quarantine if necessary.

The teams also strictly implement regulations and Ministry of Health’s guidance on Covid-19 prevention and control as well as 5K message to ensure safety when they contact with residents.
