The activities are conducted under the campaign launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC) and Binh Thuan provincial People’s committee on the 2020 movement “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange (AO) victims” that aims to mobilize support from local and foreign communities to assist the disadvantaged and disabled persons.
Of the total, the charity group has presented each 400 gifts to Ham Thuan Nam district and Lagi Town, and other 100 gifts each were handed over to Bac Binh district and Phan Thiet city. Each gift, worth VND 600,000, comprises of necessary items and VND500, 000 in cash.
Those compassionated gifts contain goodwill and humanity of the benefactors to the unlucky people who can’t afford to enjoy a full Tet festival.
Reportedly, the campaign has so far attracted the attention and participation from a wide range of communities from the Party, the Government to organizations and individuals across the province.
