Reporting the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development noticed the warning situation of drought and serious water shortage in daily production and use.

In the light of such urgent situation, leader of the province decided to issue provincial emergency on drought in an effort to look at ways to tackling with such difficulties. Remarkably, it also raises people’s awareness of saving water.
The meeting reviewed the number of drought-affected localities in the province, proposing the province and relevant units to support and upgrade water systems in rural areas to mitigate the effects of drought and water shortage in daily life and farming activities.
Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman Phong agreed to issue emergency on drought at level 2 throughout the province. Accordingly, localities are urged to review and report most affected areas for timely assistance.
On the other hand, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Planning and Investment worked together to propose plans of upgrading and investing water supply systems in the 2021-2025 periods, prioritizing urgent constructions.
