The campaign, launched by Ministry of Industry and Trade under the theme “Small Action, Big Ceremony”, aims at promoting responsibilities of the community for the implementation of Law on Energy Efficiency and Conservation.
Earth Hour was pioneered by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2007, aiming at raising global awareness of climate change and energy saving. Individuals and organizations in Vietnam are encouraged to response to this program by turning off their lights and other unimportant electrical appliances for an hour from20h30 to 21h30 on March 19, or joining other activities and movements to cope with climate change.
