Binh Thuan: Residents made glutinous rice cakes for people in central region

23/10/2020, 11:25

BTO – A group of natives of Thanh Hoa province living  in Binh Thuan and residents in Phu Thuy ward (Phan Thiet city) lately gathered to wrap and cook hundreds  of  “Banh Tet” (a traditional sticky rice cake of Vietnamese people) as presents to support people in the central provinces, who are suffering from historic flooding.

Under the country’s spirit of  “The whole leaf covers torn ones”, many enterprises and individuals have donated sticky rice, meat and other materials, while others actively joined hands in wrapping and cooking 500 pieces of sticky rice cakes to take them to needy people in floodplains areas.
