BTO- The Standing provincial Party Committee lately approved a plan to give financial hardship assistance to 4,363 poor households, with an average allowance of VND 1 million per household, sourced from “fund for the poor” of districts/city/town”.

Additionally, each of 1,208 near-poor households in Phan Thiet city and La Gi town, two localities that have been suffering the most from the Covid-19 pandemic, with the highest number of infections cases, will also receive the same amount. The remaining localities will consider the current conditions to make decision on giving support to near-poor households or not.

At the same time, the standing provincial Party Committee also gave a nod to financial packages valued at VND 800 million in support of owners of transportation vehicles that have carried people from quarantine checkpoint in Tan Duc commune (Ham Tan district) to concentrated isolation facilities across the province; and VND 624 million in offering meals to the provincial-level officers sent to La Gi town to help reinforce pandemic prevention and control. The combined fund is extracted from the provincial Fund for Covid-19 prevention and control, which is under the management of the provincial Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front.

As of now, a total of VND 5.591 billion and ND 1.442 billion  were disbursed for assisting poor households and concentrated people transport as well as feeding anti-pandemic forces respectively.
