Hai and Tam faithfully extended the best regards and care to the wounded in the accident at Binh Thuan general Hospital and Ham Thuan Nam Hospital. The province’s leaders have decided to offer an on-site financial support of VND 8,4 million to each family of deceased victim and VND 3,7 million to wounded victims. Moreover, the provincial Committee of Road Safety has also assisted each wounded VND 1 million and VND 3 million for each fatality.
Reportedly, at around 4:00 AM on Sunday (May 22nd), a coach of Phuong Trang passenger bus line was traveling from the central province of Quang Ngai to Ho Chi Minh City on National Highway 1, when it collided with another bus from the Son Quy passenger line running in the opposite direction. Both buses burst into flames following the head-on collision, before a truck traveling from Ho Chi Minh City also crashed into them.
The horrific accident killed 12 people and injured 40 others, according to local authorities. All dead victims have not been able to be identified as they were severely burnt by the fire.
