The GEF, established in 1991, helps to solve the planet’s most pressing environmental problems. To coordinate the GEF’s support in Vietnam, the Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment has founded a Steering committee of GEF office in Vietnam.
The program, funded by Norway, aims to develop the integrative, effective and models to improve the management on plastic waste and life trashes. The total financial support is about USD 60,000, prioritizing the implementation of the program in the provinces of Binh Thuan, Binh Duong and Binh Dinh.
