The once-in-the-decade census is scheduled from April 1 to 25, with the participation of 131 supervisors and 1.327 investigators. The provincial department of Statistics will investigate data relating to general population information, migration status, marital status, birth and death rate, population growth, labour and occupation, residency and people’s basic living conditions in the whole province. Census takers will come to each household to gather information. They will use electronic devices when interviewing residents or households with accounts and passwords will fill in online forms.
According to Mr. Pham Quoc Hung-deputy head of the provincial Steering Committee for 2019 national population and housing census, this large scale census of population and housing in Vietnam is designed to collect data for research and analysis of population and housing development in the country. The survey results will serve as the basis to evaluate the implementation of socio-economic plans for the 2011-2020 period and build strategies for the 2021-2030 period.
