The event had the attendance of Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Hai, vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hoa, leaders of tourism sector and Binh Thuan Tourism Association (BTA), numerous travel companies and agencies.
After 23 years of developing, tourism has turned itself into one of spearhead sectors of Binh Thuan province, significantly contributed to enhancing development motivation of other fields. The whole sector has continuously made efforts to overcome difficultiesand challenges to maintain strong growth and promote its position as one of attractive destinations on Vietnam’s tourism map.
Binh Thuan now has 390 operational tourism projects covering a total land area of 6,329 ha, with a combined investment capital of VND 59.290 trillion. Tourist volume is estimated to reach 5.75 turns and tourism revenue is expected to gain VND 12.850 trillion in 2018.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa emphasized that Binh Thuan tourism sector has achieved great success thanks to investors and tourism enterprises’ contributions during the past 23 years. The investors’ enthusiasm along with dynamic and creative enterprises, Binh Thuan tourism has built-up its own brand name with many luxury resorts, hotels, restaurants, attractive tourists sites and a diversity of tourism products. The number of visitors has continuously increased year by year.
At the ceremony, 10 units and 12 persons with typical achievement and contribution to the development of Binh Thuan tourism in 2018 were awarded certificates of merit. At the same time, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and BTA granted certificates of merit to 6 outstanding travel enterprises and 5 entrepreneurs for their excellent results in doing business in 2018.
