Binh Thuan donates VND 800 million to help provinces suffering from drought, salinity in Mekong Delta

BTO – The provincial Standing Committee lately decided to donate VND 800 million for supporting people affected by drought and saltwater intrusion in the four provinces of  Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Kien Giang and Soc Trang in the Mekong Delta region.

The donation is part of joint efforts in response to the appeal from the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front on helping the southwest region deal with prolonged drought and salt-water intrusion. The amount, which is sourced from the province’s aid fund in 2020 and contributed by enterprises, organizations in Binh Thuan, will be sent to those localities (VND 200 million for each province).
