Young physicians joined charity program for the health of ethnic people in Bac Binh

BTO- The Young Physicians’ Association of Ho Chi Minh city lately held a charity program in Phan Hiep commune (Bac Binh district-Binh Thuan province), where they offered free health check-ups and medicine to poor households of the Cham ethnic group.

Under the motto “Living is not only receiving but also giving”, more than 20 young physicians gave free health care support, medicine and gifts to 300 residents as meaningful assistance for those whose lives have been affected by the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.

Phan Hiep is among 3 communes of ethnic minorities of Bac Binh district. The locality has been recognized to meet standards of new-style rural areas. However, many poor households seems to be confronted with many difficulties in using health care services because many of them have not allocated health insurance cards and long Phu long distance from their house to hospitals/medical stations. Besides health check-ups, medicine, gifts, young physicians from Ho Chi Minh city also provided necessary knowledge  and preventive measures to stay healthy, such as: washing hands, tidying up their house…
