Hanoi presents face masks to French cities

Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung on May 18 handed over 200,000 face masks to the Embassy of France in support of the European country’s fight against COVID-19.

The package will be sent to people in Ile-de-France, Toulouse, and Choisy-le-Roi.

The masks bear a CE marking, indicating they meet standards set for products sold within the EU.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Chung underlined that strengthening international cooperation and unity is an important factor in curbing the spread and impact of the pandemic in each country and region.

French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicholas Warnery expressed his gratitude for the support from Hanoi authorities and people to their French counterparts, and voiced his belief that the two countries will triumph in the fight against the pandemic.
