Foreign visitors experiencing folk games at a resort in Ham Tien- Mui Ne
on Tet holidayAccording to Mr. Do Minh Kinh-Director of department of Industry and Trade, market prices before, during and after the Lunar New Year festival have been kept stable. Under the management of functional bodies, a wide variety of essential products for Tet have been provided for local consumers with reasonable prices, high quality and beautiful designs. Manufacturers and retailers have seriously complied with regulations on price control, products’ origin and quality. Especially, inspections on food hygiene and safety, prices of goods and services have been carried out during Tet days to ensure a safe tet holiday for local residents. Tet goods stockpile and commodity supplies for people on Phu Quy island and outlying areas have been ensured.
Many cultural and sporting events (traditional boat race festival, Ta Cu Mountain Climbing Contest, Mui Ne Sand Hill Running Competition, Bolero singing festival…) were organized successfully with the participation of numerous local people and visitors.
The provincial authorities and social organizations also paid special attention to bringing Tet gifts and caring for the poor and disadvantageous people to celebrate a full Tet festival. Political situation and social order have been well maintained during the Lunar New Year holiday, excepting a number of illegal firecracker burning in some localities.
At the end of the conference, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung highly appreciated the combined efforts of departments and localities in providing a safe and Happy Tet holiday for local people. He asked functional bodies to come back to work and strive to fulfill all targets set for the year 2019.
