Enterprises, organizations donated money, necessities for Covid-19 prevention and control

BTO- In response to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s call for joint efforts in Covid-19 combat, many enterprises, organizations and individuals in Binh Thuan have actively contributed and raised funds to help local government fight against the disease.

Specifically, on March 20, the Southern Central Food JSC donated 2 tons of rice for Phan Thiet city in the fight to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic.

On the same day,  New Generations’ Club presented VND 30 million to Infection Control department  of  Binh Thuan General Hospital and 29 gifts to 29 households who are under self-isolation at their homes in Ham Thang and Ham Liem communes (HamThuan Bac district). The gifts, worth over VND 300,000 each, include rice, instant noodle, face masks, dried fish, soya sauce, eggs, bread…. Reportedly, the club has so far contributed over VND 350 million in total to the joint efforts of the province in fighting Covid-19 epidemic. The movement of donating money, effort, time, marerials to help Covid-19 patients and those being quarantined has been disseminated among the community. Many young people even cooked meals and took to officials and citizens in medical checkpoints, medical facilities and quarantine areas.

Hai Nam Limited Company on March 20 also handed over its donated money and necessities to the provincial Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front to support Binh Thuan in fighting against Covid-19. Accordingly, VND one billion and 50,000 face masks contributed by the company’s employees will be added to the province’s fund for Covid-19 prevention and control.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch of the provincial agencies bloc lately presented 1,000 face masks and 200 bottles of hand sanitizer to staffs of Binh Thuan General Hospital and Traditional Medicine & Rehabilitation Hospital. Youth union branches of agencies and organizations gave thousands of face masks and hand sanitizer to residents in the communes of Ham Liem and Ham Thang (Ham Thuan Bac district).

Currently, the  Vietnam Fatherland Committees at all levels and the provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control are boosting fundraising activities to help the whole people overcome difficulties amid Covid-19 outbreak.
